[0:00] So turn to chapter 2, and by the way, it'd probably be a good idea to read up on whatever chapter we're doing during the week. [0:14] Because there's a lot of stuff in here, and if you read it beforehand, you may have some questions, and we can bring it up at that point. Because I'm not going to sit here and say that I know everything that's in this book, or in this study. [0:30] I don't think anybody can know everything that's in here, because it is prophecy. And it even says, Daniel, you're not going to understand all this stuff. [0:41] So it's a very mysterious book. So it behooves us to read it, and try to understand it. And that's all we're doing here this morning, is to get into the book and just see what it's saying. [0:54] And to get some questions and get some conversation, and maybe we can come up with some good ideas exactly what Daniel was doing here. [1:06] Anyway, last week we ended up with Nebuchadnezzar had a dream. And he wanted his dream told. And this dream must have been something, because he was dead set. [1:23] You guys out here, my magicians, my sorcerers, all these people that it's in his religious realm of Gentiles, he says, I want an answer to what this prayer is all about. [1:39] But before, I want you to tell me exactly what the prayer is. Now that's a pretty hard thing to come up with, isn't it? Even for those guys. [1:51] And of course, they conjured and they said, you know, dear King, tell us your dream and we'll interpret it for you, no problem at all. But he said, no, no, no. [2:02] That's not what I want. I want you to tell me what this dream is all about. Of course, they couldn't do it. And he said, you guys are just pulling my leg. You're trying to pull something here. [2:14] And I'm not having any of it. And what did he say? He said, you're done. Off with your heads. If you can't come up and do what I ask, then off goes your head or however he's going to do it. [2:32] But anyway, they're going to be put to death. And that's exactly where we left off. And of course, Daniel and his compadres, they were thinking they're a part of this. [2:45] And that they thought they would have death also. So that's where we ended up last week. And so today we're going to start in Daniel 2, 17. [2:59] So before, Daniel must deliver on his promise because he told the king that he would do it. And he said, what? Hey, king, give me some time. I can do it. Just give me time. [3:11] And what was that time for? Well, we're going to find out why he needed the time. He knows that the only thing that will save him is God's direct revelation. And so he and his friends call God with a great urgency. [3:25] So verse 17. Then Daniel went to his house and made the thing known to the Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions. That they would desire miracles of God, of heaven, concerning this secret that God Daniel, that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. [3:46] You know, they didn't want to face death. My goodness. So Daniel knows that the king is terribly upset and worried about the dream. Even though Daniel's friends are prisoners of the king, they are not ready for the death penalty yet. [3:59] So Daniel's first action to get on the phone and call for what? Call for a prayer meeting. He called for a prayer meeting. [4:12] He swings straight into action and asks the three friends to begin praying to plead for mercy. Daniel 19, or 219. Then was a secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. [4:26] Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. So God answered a prayer and that night reveals both the dream and the interpretation to Daniel. So Daniel offers a wonderful psalm of praise to God. [4:40] And that's what we'll see in Daniel 2.20. Daniel says, let the name of God be blessed forever and forever. And wait a minute. [4:53] Here's the thing with technology. You got to know what you're doing. All right. What verse is going on? 20? [5:03] 20? 20. Yeah. Okay. God answered a prayer that night. Daniel 2.20. Daniel said, let the name of God be blessed forever and forever. For wisdom and power belong to him. [5:16] It is he who changes the times and the Epcot's. He removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding. [5:27] It is he who reveals the profound and hidden things. He knows what is in the darkness and that the light dwells with him. To you, O God, my Father, I give thanks and praise. [5:39] For you have given me wisdom and power. Even now you have made known to me what we requested of you. For you have made known to us the king's manner. [5:52] Wow. You take it to God. And God will come back. Even today in our age of pressure that's on us sometimes, we have difficult situations that come up. [6:04] But God knows what lies in the darkness for every one of us. Maybe we need to be more like Daniel and commit all things into the one who holds our lives in his hands. [6:17] He is still a God of the impossible. He reveals deep and hidden things and he gives wisdom to power to those of us that need it. So when we have things in our life come up, go to God and God will bless us with these things and give us answers. [6:33] So Daniel now goes before the king. Verse 24. Therefore Daniel went to Arak. Now Arak was one of the leaders that was with King Nebuchadnezzar. [6:47] Arak was one of the leaders that was with King Nebuchadnezzar. And he was in charge of all these prisoners and everything. Whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He went and spoke to him as follows. [6:57] Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon. Take me into the king's presence and I will declare the interpretation to the king. So he's saying, hey, don't kill those guys. [7:10] This is something, you know, they probably couldn't have done it no matter what. Don't go in there and kill these guys. And don't kill us either. 25. Then Arak hurriedly brought Daniel into the king's presence and spoke to him as follows. [7:24] 26. I have found a man among the exiles of Judah who can make the interpretation known to the king. The king said to Daniel, whose name was Belshazzar, Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen and its interpretation? [7:42] And Daniel said, And Daniel answered before the king and said, As for the mystery about which the king has required, Neither wise men, conjurers, magicians, or diviners are able to declare it to the king. [7:57] However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, And he has made known to the king, Nebuchadnezzar, What will take place in what? [8:09] The latter days. And that's what this whole book of Daniel is about. The latter days. This was your dream and a vision in your mind while you were in bed. [8:22] 29. As for you, king, while you were on your bed, Thoughts turned to what would take place in the future. And he who reveals mysteries has made known to you what will take place. [8:36] You know, Nebuchadnezzar was just completely confused about this dream. Now Daniel's getting ready to tell him, he says, This dream is about your future. And it's about the future of the whole world. [8:48] Now remember, the king wanted both the dream itself and its interpretation. Not an easy feat. It's like someone demanding an answer before they even asked the question. So that's pretty difficult to do. [9:02] Daniel's humility before the king is clear. Though Arak is quick to claim that he has found the dream interpreter, Daniel takes no personal credit for the dream or its interpretation, But gives all credit to God of heaven. [9:16] He uses the situation as an opportunity to witness before the king to his faithful God. Wow. What a thing that is. [9:27] He's telling us the same thing, isn't he? What do we need to do in our lives? We need to go out. We need to be witnesses of our God. If God is doing something in your life, Be a testament. [9:41] Tell people about it. And that's exactly what Daniel was doing here. So he tells the king, There is a God in heaven who reveals all mysteries. This God is the only true God, And he is in heaven. [9:54] He is the source of all knowledge and wisdom. And I can just imagine what this king is thinking When he's telling me this. As believers, we should also be clothed with humility. [10:06] Paul states in Ephesians 4.2, With all humility and gentleness, With patience, bearing with one another, In love, being diligent, To keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. [10:19] And that's exactly what Daniel was doing here. He was being patient with this king. This guy could have took his head off Without any problem. Paul tells us to be completely humble and gentle. [10:31] At the same time, we are to be patient By putting up with each other And loving each other. To be humble is to have the spirit of Christ. It is then that we can come to know Jesus better And grow to become more. [10:45] Like him. And you know, Jesus wasn't here at this point. But Daniel is growing with God at this point. And that's what's happening here. [10:55] Daniel 2.30 But as for me, this mystery has not been revealed to me For my wisdom residing in me Or in any other living man But for the purpose of making known The interpretation to the king And that you may understand the thoughts of your mind. [11:22] So he's not taking any credit. I mean, this would be a good time to do that, wouldn't it? Hey, king. I know exactly what this is. And I can do this for you. [11:34] Wow. Daniel proceeds to tell the dream And it's interpretation. And I want to Before I do that, I'm going to hand some paper out. And this will kind of give you an understanding Of what this dream is all about. [11:48] Do you want to hand these out? Sure. I better keep one. And he's going to tell the dream. And this dream is going to be about this picture here. So will everybody get one of those? [12:08] And this dream is going to kind of set up Exactly The whole picture Of what this book is about. Now we know that there's some Great stories that come out of Daniel. [12:23] And chapter 3 is going to be one of those. The fiery furnace. Chapter 6. The lion's den. And usually when you talk about the book of Daniel With somebody, that's the things that come up. But you know what? [12:35] That's not the important things at all. The important things is what we're going to start Talking about here. This picture And what it represents And what it represents Is history. [12:51] This whole book is about history. And it's going to be Getting into some interesting things As we go into it. Okay. [13:02] Daniel 31. O king We're looking and behold There was a single great statute That statute That statute Which was large And of extraordinary splendor Was standing in front of you And its appearance Was awesome. [13:19] The head of the statue Was made of fine gold The breast and the arms Of silver Its belly And its thighs Of bronze Its legs Of iron Its feet Partly of iron And partly of clay Keep that in mind. [13:36] You continued looking Until a stone Was cut out of the hands And it struck the statue On its feet Of iron And clay And crushed them The iron The clay The bronze The silver And the gold Were crushed All at the same time And became like shaft For the summer Threshing floors And the wind Carried them away So that not a trace Of them Was found But the stone That struck the statue Become great Mountain And filled The whole earth Now that's kind of Giving you a picture here From that time All the way To the end time And We'll see what What we're getting at here Nebuchadnezzar's dream As you were lying there O king Your mind turned to things And come to reveal A mystery Showed to you That is going to happen [14:36] You looked O king And there before You stood A large statue Wow An enormous Dazing statue And it talks about Again The legs And the stomach And the legs And the feet And the partly Of clay And partly of iron While you were watching A rock was cut out But not by human hands It struck the statue On its feet Of iron And clay And smashed them Then the iron The clay And the bronze And the silver And the gold Were broken to pieces At the same time And they were taken away With the wind Daniel's description Was clear This was a massive And spectacular image Of different materials Fine gold Silver Bronze Iron And partly iron And clay These materials Descend In value From top To bottom With gold At the top And iron Mixed With clay At the bottom [15:36] Now you can't get Any more specific Than that Here's this great statue And the top part Of it Is strong It's gold It's worth It's the most And we're going All Going to go All the way down To the feet Of mixture And stuff And what is that That's nothing And we're going To see a progression Of the world History From these Things that we're Talking about here We're going to be Going from Gold Down to silver And a declining Type thing here So these metals Are described Decrease in value But they increase In strength That is The metals Go from gold To silver To bronze To iron They decrease In value Going from The most expensive To the least So what's going On here The metals Described here Are just metaphors Used to describe Current kingdom And future kingdoms And that's what [16:37] This whole history Thing is about Thus God was Showing that Each successive Kingdom Would be less Glorious In its Predecessor But not Also that Each metal Is stronger Than its Predecessor So each Empire Would be Succeeded By one That was Stronger That Kind of Seems confusing Doesn't it We're going to Go lesser But it's Going to Be stronger The last Kingdom Was broken In pieces This spectacular Image was Destroyed by A stone Made out Without Hands And what Remained of It was Blown away And we Know that That's going To be Of course Christ at The end Daniel Daniel Daniel Now Reveals The parts Of the Statue Represents Kingdoms Or empires Daniel 2 36 This was The dream And now We will Tell its Interpretation Before the King You O king Are the King Of kings [17:37] To whom God of Heaven Has given The kingdom The power The strength And the Honor And wherever The sons Of mankind Live Or the Animals Of the Field Or the Birds Of the Sky Has handed Them over To you And has Made you Ruler Over them All You are The head Of gold You O king O king And indeed He was He saw That when He could Put all The magicians To death With just A word This man Was extreme Power He was Absolute King Absolute For the God of Heaven Hath given The kingdom Power And strength And glory Nebuchadnezzar Became an Incredibly Successful Conqueror And builder Thousands Of bricks Have been Found in Iraq Over the Years With his Name Stamped On them While he [18:38] Was still Crown prince Nebuchadnezzar Gained statue As a military Commander By defeating The Egyptians And a lot Of other Countries Around them During his Reign Nebuchadnezzar Greatly Expanded Babylon Empire With the Help of His wife He undertook The rebuilding And the Beautification Of his Hometown In capital City of Babylon Babylon's Wall was So wide That four Chariots Could go Side by Side Around That top Wall Can you Imagine You got To go Back In history And picture What's Going On here This Great City With this Great Wall And Nebuchadnezzar Had all The resources Because what Did he Do There Was Nothing That Nebuchadnezzar Could not Bring into Being Because he Taxed The masses For everything They had And used These taxes To make The city Of Babylon A gorgeous City Now as a Spiritual man [19:39] He restored Many pagan Temples And shrines So here This is a Gentile empire He's not Talking about God here And all This beautification All he did Was set up These great Places With temples And shrines Of all The different Gods That they Had at This point After living In his Father's Place Palace For a Season He built A resident For himself The summer Palace And lavish Southern Palace The hanging Gardens Of Babylon One of The Nebuchadnezzar's Architectural Achievements Ranks among The seven Wonders Of the Ancient World And It would Have Been Just Something To Just See That Garden I'm Sure I mean There's Some Magnificent Gardens Here In the United States Where was It we Went with That beautiful Garden Thing That we Went to At one Time Anyway I forget What it [20:39] Was Vancouver Whatever There's Beautiful Gardens Okay But Man These Gardens Must Been Something So So So One Of The National Seven Wonders Of The Ancient World Daniel Pulls Back The Curtain Of Time To Show How God Used Nebuchadnezzar To Shape World History Like Many Rulers Nebuchadnezzar Revealed In His Own Power And Premidence But In Reality He Was Merely An Instrument Of God God Used This Gentile King And It's In His Plan Of What's Going To Happen So It's In His Hands He Was The Absolute Dictator King And Didn't Have To Consult With Anyone To Make Decisions You Know That's A Great Place To Be In It Wow You Sit On Top There's Nothing That Happens Without Your Hand [21:39] Knowing About It And That's What This This Ruler Was Now Daniel Says Thou Art This Old So Daniel Is Now Starting To Describe Different Empires Here The Then No World Was Pretty Much Centered Around Israel The Mediterranean And Out Beyond The Ephrates And Maybe Toward The Western Fringes Of China This Was About To Change The World Was Going To Start Getting Bigger From What This Picture Is Daniel 2 39 And After You Another Kingdom Will Arise Inferior To You Then Another Third Kingdom Of Bronze Which Will Root Over The Earth Then There Will Be A Fourth Kingdom As Strong As Iron Just As Iron Smashes And Crushes Everything So Like Iron That Crushes It Will Smash And Crush All Things The Empires He's Talking About I'm Just Just Skip Ahead And [22:39] Do That The Empires The Head Of Gold Is Babylon That's King Nebuchadnezzar He Ruled From 606 To 538 And He's Described As No He's Okay The Next Is The Chest Of Silver And Arms That's The Medes And Persian Empire And That Was From 538 To 333 And Later We're Going To Be In Some Of The Other Chapters That's Going To Be Talking About Animals That's Kind Of Strange That How This Is Going To Work Here Because Now He's Talking About These Metals In The Future Chapter He's Going To Be Talking About Animals And For The Medes And Persians It's Going To Be Bears And Rams The Thighs Of Bronze It's Going To And [23:49] That And That And That Is And That Is Going To Go From Probably 168 To 476 A.D. [24:02] So The Roman Empire Was In There For A Long Time Feet Of Iron And Of Clay And That Might Be Future And That May Be The Revised Roman Empire That Could Be And It Could Also Be Something Else And It Might Have To Do With What The Antichrist And Who Is This Antichrist Going To Be Is Going To Be The Revised Roman Empire Somebody From That Empire And Possibilities Are Going To Be Somebody From Iran That Empire And That's Quite Possible We Really Don't Know The Answers To That But That's Quite Possible Because Everybody Thinks It's Going To Be The Roman Empire But Rome Also Conquered That Part Of The Regions Also So Iran And That Part Of The Country Was [25:02] Also Conquered By The Romans So If It Is We Don't Know At That Point Anyway Go From Here The Babylon Empire Stood For 66 Years The Bantopalian For 208 Years The Grecian For 185 Years And The Roman Empire Stood For More Than 500 Years So That Empire Was A Great Empire We're Given The Identity Of The Emerging Empire We'll See In Chapter Eight It's Going To Give Us More Detail The Grecian Empire And Also In Chapter Eight It Gets Into More Detail And Rome Which We Know Have Followed Greece Is The World Stage And It's alluded To In Chapters 11 And Maybe 12 So This Book Is Going To Be Going Back And For With These Empires And Basically It's Just A History Lesson Of How This World Is Involved And Where It's Going Verse 39 Says And After You Another Kingdom [26:02] Will Rise Inferior To You How Does An Inferior Kingdom Defeat A Superior Kingdom Military Military Okay Military It Just Doesn't Happen So What You Must Look At Is At The Progression Of Metals We Go From What We Know We Think Of As The Most Precious To The Most Expensive To The Next To The Next And So For Down To The Least And So The Progression Is From Something Great To Something Less Great And Of Course We Think Military Right So This Is Defeat Him Daniel Was Talking About Wasn't Talking About The Military Side Of It He Was Talking About Politics Because This Head Of Gold Was An Absolute Under God Ruler So What [27:02] Do You Call That A Monarchy Right He's A Head Nobody Else Because He's The Head Of Gold Was An Absolute Under God He Was A Government Of One If You Wouldn't If You Don't Understand If You Want Something Done Quick Then The Best Type Of Government This Is The Best Of Government To Have Now We Don't Think That Today Do We I Mean We Don't Consider Ourselves In That Type Of Environment But Think About It This Is A Messy Environment We Got Today Would It Be Better If We Had A Ruler Who Set Things Out There And Was All This Political Stuff That We See Going On Today Keep That In Mind For When We Get Into This More And More And More So So But Instead Of Having An Absolute Dictator [28:02] Of One Let's See I've Got Ahead Of Myself After The Head Of Gold You Come Down To The Kingdom That Was In In To Him And Politically We Know That The Next Kingdom That Came On The Scene And Defeated Babylon Was Med And Persia Military Militarily They Were Already Greater Than The Babylon Otherwise You Know They Could Not Have Feated Them Could They They Had A Great Army They Was Building Up And They Were Coming In And Secretly Going In And Destroying Babylon But Instead Of Having An Absolute Dictator Of One They Had Two Kings Who Came Together They Were Desirous The Med And Cyrus The Persian And Naturally Before They Made Any Kind Of A Move Militarily Economically Or Politically They Had To Agree With Each Other At At At At At At At It Is A Lot Harder [29:03] To Get Two Degree Than One But It Must Not Be Forgotten That In Other Respect Such As The Extent Of Territory And Duration Of Empire The Mede Persians Far Exceeded The Babylonian Kingdom The Next Kingdom That Came Alexander The Great Greece This Kingdom Was Bronze Was The One Which Shall Rule Over The Whole Earth And We All Know Some Of The Stories Of Alexander The Great He Was A Great Military Leader He Went In And He Conquered Many Many Countries And After His Rule This He Did This For How Many Years I Think He Was Very Young The Kingdom Of Bronze Was One Which Was Ruled Over The Whole Earth Indeed Alexander's Great Grecian Power Was The Largest [30:03] Among Those Compared In The Image Except The Final Government Of The Messiah And That's Going To Be Much Better Than What He Had But Just As Soon As Alexander Completed As Many Conquests At The Age Of 33 And What Happened To His Kingdom He Died They Came In And They Changed The Politics It Was Divided Between Four Generals The Political Flow Is Already Picking Up Instead Of Having Absolute Power One Then Consensus Of Two And Consensus Of Four Is Now Required The Next Great Empire That Comes Along The Scene Is The Roman Empire Even Though We Think Of Rome As Being Governed By All The Caesars What Kind Of Government Was The Roman Empire They Considered I Believe A Republic They Depended [31:03] On Their Senate And Their Representatives And Here You Have The Seed Of Democracy In Its Emphasy You See Politically What Is Happening Coming From An Absolute Consensus Of Two To A Consensus Of Four To A Consensus Of Many And I Think This Is Kind Of Giving You A Picture Of How The Governments Operate And We Can Kind Of Now Get A Picture How We Operate Again In Daniel 2 40 Then There Will Be Fourth Kingdom As Strong As Iron Just As Iron Crushes And Crushes Everything So Like Iron That Crushes It Shall Smash And Crush All Things This Is The Roman Impacts As Spoke Of Earlier The Most Ficious Military Machine That Has Ever Existed At This Time They Crushed Everything In The Boots Of The Roman Soldiers Were Fearsome They Conquered Many Different Territories And Many Countries 41 [32:04] And In That That You Saw The Feet And Toes Partly Of Potters Clay And Partly Of Iron It Will Be A Divided Kingdom But It Will Have Within It Some Of The Toughness Of Iron Since You Saw The Iron Mixed With Common Clay And Just As The Toes And The Feet Were Partly Of Iron And Partly Of Pottery So Some Of The Kingdom Will Be Strong And Part Of It Will Be Fragile We're Switching Now We're Getting Closer And Closer Daniel And What You Saw The Iron Mixed With Common Clay They Will Combine With One Another In Their Descendants But They Will Not Adhere To One Another Just As Iron Does Not Combine With Pottery And What We're Talking About Here As We Get Closer To End Times The Way The Governments Are If We Think Of This Big Roman Empire It Split Up And All These People Went Off From It They Conquered Europe All [33:06] These Type Things And Now We're Living In That Kind Of Environment And We're Seeing Power But The Power Is Not Like That It's A Mixture And There's All Kinds Of Confusion And We See It Every Day In The News From All The Screens That We See All The Things That Happening Around The World In Europe Over There In The Middle East It's A Confusion In These Verses We See The Final Empire Is An Outgrowth Of The Fourth Kingdom The Roman Empire Regresses From Iron To Iron Mixed With Clay And That's What Happens Over Time To This Point Of Our Reading Daniel's Prophecy Has Been Historically Fulfilled And How Do We Know That We Got History We Look Back We Got Encyclopedias We Got All This Stuff Talks About The Persian Empire The Greek Empire The Roman Empire So We Know These Things Because We Can Go Back To The History Books And [34:06] Get This Information So To This Point The Events That Happened To The Feet Of The Iron And Clay Will Occur During The End Times Before The Second Coming Of Christ So That Part Of This Statue Is Yet To Come And As To To To Those Of The Feet Were Partly Of Iron And Partly Fragile The Most Important Feature Of This Fourth Kingdom Was Its Feet And Two Kinds Of Materials The Clay And The Iron May Represent A Regal Government Whereas Clay May Represent A Demetatic Type Government By Being Pliable And Easy To Mold Democracy Grows The Seeds Of Its Own Destruction The Opinion Of The Public Is Always Fickle Harsh Events [35:06] Or Sinister Leaders Can Mold It Into Their Own Fashions Wow Have We Seen That Happen It Is Not Democracy Itself That Makes A Democratic Nation Great But Principles Of Righteousness And Upon Which That Nation Was Built And His Willing To Present With Those Principles I Think That Leaves Us With A Question How Does America Fit Into These Statements Any Comments Any Yeah That's A Good Question How Does America Fit Into All This Stuff We're Talking About For The I'm Sorry I Can't Hear You Oh Okay Yeah We're [36:07] Molded In With All These Other Things Aren't We You Really Can't Tell The Difference To Any Of Us Any More It's All Splashed Across The Screens And Are We Getting Weaker Oh My Are We Getting Weaker Wow When This Country Was Folding What Was Our Principles You Know We We Came And Our Nation Was Started Because They Wanted To Get Away From All That Stuff Over In Europe They Came Over To America And They Started This Great New Kingdom Or This Great New Country It Was All Based On God These People Had This In Mind And They Started This Country With This In Mind With The Righteousness And All This Type And They Started Building This Country With That With Our Leaders That Had The Knowledge Of God And Over The Time What How Many Years Are We Here Now Over 250 [37:08] Years And I Don't Know What I Know History If You Look At History How Count Come And They Go And I Think We Got A Look Of America We Had Great Times And I Think Now We Are Starting To See Some Bad Times Come Along Aren't We And We Don't Know What's Going To Happen But We Do Know What's Going To Happen In End Times And How We're Going To Be A Part Of That We Really Don't Know Yet It's Going To Be Very Interesting To See This Last Empire Prophecy Is In The Future The Stone That Cut With Hands Shatters The Confederation Of Kings Represented By The Feet Of The Image And God's Kingdom Will Dominate The Earth So Again I Think It's Kind Of Pointing To The End Times It Talked About The Where These Ten Kingdoms Will Come Into A Pout [38:08] We See In Ezekiel And Some Of The Other Prophecies So Since Roman History Provides No Fulfillment Of This Federation Of Kings Which Seems To Number Ten And We Keep Saying That We See It In Daniel Chapter Seven Revelation Chapter 17 Which Speaks Of Ten Kings This Prophecy Must Still Be In The Future Since The Fall Of Roman Empire There Has Never Been A World Dominating Empire Like Rome Many Have Tried The Huns Oh Yeah The Huns Islam The So Called Holy Roman Empire Which Would Be What The Catholic Church Napoleon Hitler Stalin But None Have Succeeded Each Of These Had Amazing Powers Of Influence But Nothing Compared To That Of The Roman Empire The Roman Empire Is Some Form Or Another Will [39:08] Be Revived Under The Leadership Of This Final Dictator The Antichrist And Can't Say That For Certain But Everybody Thinks That This Time Frame Is Going To Be The Roman Empire And I Say Everybody It's Not Everybody And We'll Get Into That A Little Bit Later Too But The Majority Of The Books And The Things You See About This Time Of Thing They Think It's Going To Be The Antichrist Will Be Coming From The Old Roman Empire And It Makes Sense Doesn't It But Is That What's Going To Happen It Broke Into Pieces The Arms The Bronze The Clay The Silver And Gold Then Described A Single Decisive Event That Shattered The Image Responding To The Glory Of Man's Rule On Earth Since The Church Of The Gospel Have Not In A Single Decisive Event Shattered The Reign Of Human Kingdoms Have We This Event Is [40:08] Still In The Future This Isn't The Gradual Salvation Of The World By The Church Smashing Is Not Part Of Salvation Crushing Is Not Conversion Destroying Is Not Delivering Nor Is Polonizing The Same As Purification So What We Are Here In The Church Is Not What We're Talking About Here We're Not In This Picture And Of Of Of Of That There's A Time Gap Between This Period And We're In That Time Gap Right Now That God Is Dealing With With Us In A Completely Different Way Than What We're Talking About Here Now We're Going To Be Out Of The Picture When This Stuff Happens So This Isn't Gradual Salvation Or Any Of That Stuff The Stone Cut Without Hands Is The Messiah Not The Church Psalms 118 22 The Stone Which Is The Builder's Rejection Has Become The Chief Cornerstone [41:08] In Isaiah 28 6 Therefore Thus Says The Lord God Behold I Am Laying Stone A Costly Cornerstone For The Foundation Firmly Placed He Believes In It Will Not Be Disturbed These Verses Refer To Jesus As A Stone Therefore The Final Super Power Of The World Is Thought To Be A Revival Of The Roman Empire This Will Be A Final World Empire That The Returning Jesus Will Conquer Whatever That Empire Is We Know That In The Final And What The Outcome Is Going To Be That Jesus Will Conquer Over It The Kingdom Shall Be Partly Strong And Partly Fragile This World Empire Will Be According To The Nature Of Clay Mixed With Iron It Will Have The Image Of True Strength That But More Than The Substance Of Strength So It Is Going To Appear Strong But Really In [42:08] Substance It Is Not That Strong And We're Going To See That Happening This Image Actively Resents Human Power And Empire The Image Seems Invincible But It Will Be Unstable At Its Base Therefore One Below That A Foundation Can Temple The Whole Thing And I Think That's What We Will See It Is Also Significant To See That The Image Described Devaluation Not Evolution Devaluation Not Evolution Instead Of A Man Being At The Dust And In The Gold The Vision Declares That The Man's Dominion Begins With Gold And Devalues All The Way Down To Dust Some Forty Years From This Daniel Has A Vision Described In Some Of The Same Successions Of Empires Daniel Saw It From God's Perspective And Nebuchadnezzar Saw It From Man's Perspective Nebuchadnezzar Saw These Empires [43:09] In An Impressive Image Daniel Sees Them As Fierce Beasts And We'll See That When We Get Into 7 Chapter 7 And Chapter 8 Verse 24 In The Days Of Those Kings The God Of Heaven Will Set Up A Kingdom Which Will Never Be Destroyed And That Kingdom Will Not Be Left For Another People It Will Be Crushed And To End But Will Self Endure Forever This Is The Meaning Of The Vision [44:09] Of The Rock And Of The Mountain But Not By Human Hands A Rock That Broke The Iron The Bronze The Clay And The Silver And The Gold To Pieces And We're Running Out Of Time Any Questions Or Comments Before We Finish Up On This On This Weird Dream That This Man Had So Our Time Is After The Fourth After The War Of
