The Jewish Final Solution to the World's Problem - Revelation, The First of the Seven Trumpets

[0:00] Please turn to the book of Revelation, to chapter 7, and this morning we'll be reading Revelation chapter 7, verse 9, through chapter 8, verse 7.

[0:22] Revelation chapter 8, verse 9.

[0:52] And they cry out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb. And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures.

[1:10] And they fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, saying, Amen.

[1:20] Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they?

[1:45] And where have they come from? I said to him, My Lord, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, And they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

[2:09] For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple. And he who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.

[2:26] They will hunger no more, nor thirst any more, nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat.

[2:36] For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, And will guide them to springs of the water of life, And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.

[2:53] When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, There was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, And seven trumpets were given to them.

[3:14] Another angel came and stood at the altar, Holding a golden censer, And much incense was given to him, So that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints, On the golden altar, Which was before the throne.

[3:36] And the smoke of the incense, With the prayers of the saints, Went up before God, Out of the angel's hand.

[3:48] Then the angel took the censer, Filled it with the fire of the altar, And threw it to the ground. And there followed peals of thunder, And sounds and flashes of lightning, And an earthquake.

[4:08] And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets, Prepared themselves to sound them. The first sounded, And there came hail and fire, Mixed with blood, And they were thrown to the earth.

[4:29] And a third of the earth was burned up, And a third of the trees were burned up, And all the green grass was burned up.

[4:40] A cataclysmic-like description is given here, Of what is going to transpire, On this earth, When this time comes.

[4:58] And you will note, That the portion of scripture that Gary was reading, Included not only, A portion of chapter 7, But chapter 8 as well. We are intending to get into chapter 8 today, And we would take this opportunity, To remind you again, That when you read and study your Bible, Be sure to ignore the chapter divisions, They often will lead you astray, And break up the continuity.

[5:25] They're good for one thing, Chapters and verses in the Bible, Didn't even exist, Until about 500 years ago. And now we have become, Very dependent upon them, Because they enable us to locate a text.

[5:38] And that's the principal reason, That we ought to use them. But don't use them, For the study of interpretation. Because very often, It will leave you astray. Sometimes it stops right in the middle, Of a thought that is being developed.

[5:51] Whereas if you ignored the chapter division, And just kept right on reading, Even as we did this morning, Then it makes a lot more sense. So, As we open chapter 8, Of Revelation, We come to the seventh, And the last, Of the seal judgments.

[6:10] This time of tribulation, Is going to consist, Of three different, Aspects, Of judgment, That God is going to bring, Upon the earth.

[6:22] And the first has to do, With the seal judgments. And there are seven of those. We've already looked at them. And the seal judgments, Have to do with the son of God, Opening, Breaking the seal on the scroll, And revealing what is transpiring, From each of those.

[6:39] And the seventh, Seal judgment, Actually introduces, Seven more judgments. And they are, The trumpet judgments. And when you go through, Six of the trumpet judgments, And you come to the seventh, The trumpet judgment, It opens, Yet another, Segment, Of seven judgments, And they will be, The bowls, Or the vials.

[7:06] All three of these, This entire series of judgments, Is designed to do, One particular thing, And that is, To punish the earth, For its evil, And wickedness, And at the same time, Provide opportunity, For man, To see the error, Of his way, Repent of his sin, And embrace, This God of heaven, There will be, Numerous opportunities, For people to do that, And there will be, Numerous refusals, On the part, Of the people here, On the earth as well, So, Be reminded, That these, Seal judgments, As we reveal them, In chapter six, First four, Which were the, Four horsemen, Of the apocalypse, That involved, The false peace, The second, Was the rider, On the red horse, The third, Was the rider, On the pale horse, The famine, That followed, And then, The death, That ensued, On the rider, Of the fourth horse, And then, The fifth,

[8:07] Constitutes an outbreak, Of martyrdom, And for that, I would have you, Look, If you would please, At chapter six, And verse nine, And what we're doing here, Is kind of amalgamating, Some of these judgments together, Because I want you to see, The continuity, And by the way, As much as we can determine, This is going to be, A bang, Bang, Bang, Bang thing, It's going to be, One right after another, The world, Is not going to have time, To recuperate, From one of these disasters, Until another hits, And it will be, Disaster upon disaster, And in verse nine, Through eleven, We read, When he broke, The fifth seal, I was underneath, The altar, The souls of those, Who had been slain, Because of the word of God, And because of the testimony, Which they had maintained, These are tribulation saints, Who were martyred, For their faith, God is going to provide,

[9:08] A providential protection, For the hundred, Forty four thousand, We saw that in chapter seven, They are going to be sealed, We don't know what the seal, Consists of, But we know that, They are going to be, Virtually indestructible, Because God is going to, Providentially protect them, But, No one else is going to, Have that protection, And there will be, Many people, Who simply, Will be slain, Because of their faith, In fact, I cannot, Begin to put, A number on it, I don't have, A firm feel for that, We are not given, A specific number, Suffice it to say, It's going to be, A great multitude, Of people, Who are going to be, Martyred for their faith, This will be, During the time, The antichrist, Is running, The one, World, Government, And the Jewish people, In particular, Will be targets, For persecution, But so, Will everyone else, And if you do not have,

[10:09] The mark, Of the beast, That we will identify, Later on, As we move through, Revelation, You will not be able, To buy, Or sell anything, So it's going to be, A real difficult thing, Just to maintain, Life, These have been slain, Because of the word of God, And because of the testimony, Which they had maintained, And they cried out, With a loud voice, Saying, How long, O Lord, Holy and true, Wilt thou refrain, From judging, And avenging, Our blood, On those who dwell, On the earth?

[10:45] God has made it clear, That vengeance belongs to him, He is the avenger, And the reason, That we are not to be revengers, Is because, We tend to, Overkill, But God, When God, Brings his vengeance, It is a, Perfectly, Just, Vengeance, It isn't, Too much punishment, For the crime, Or too little, It will be just, Exactly what it's supposed to be, Question that these are asking is, When are you going to do this?

[11:19] When are you going to avenge, Our blood? We were slain, In, Persecution, And deprivation, And everything that went with it, And when are those who did this to us, Going to get, Justice served to them, And, Verse 11 says, There was given to each of them, A white robe, Which is always the symbol of purity, And forgiveness, And so on, And they were told, That they should rest, A little while longer, Until the number, Of their fellow servants, And their brethren, Who were to be killed, Even as they had been, Should be completed also, Now it's a pretty, Glum, Stark, Depressing thing, To tell these people, Well it's coming, There just hasn't been enough of you killed yet, But that's exactly, What it boils down to, There are more of your number,

[12:22] Who are yet going to be martyred, And you know, There isn't going to be, Any providential protection for them, They are just going to be, Like, Hunted down like animals, And, We do not know, Exactly how all of these people, Are going to be put to death, I suspect it will be by, Different methods, But we do know, That what seems to be, The principal method, That surfaces, In the book of revelation, Is will be death, By being beheaded, We do not know, If that will be with a sword, Such as some, Experienced in the first century, Like the apostle Paul, Probably experienced, Or whether it's going to be, A more efficient, Killing machine, Like the old French guillotine, That took the lives, Of so many people, In the French revolution, In the 1700s, So, When these are killed,

[13:24] Then, Then, Their time of judgment, Will come, And, What I would have you do, Is come all the way over, To chapter 8 now, And look at this censer, Because this censer, Is going to be filled, With incense, The censer, Is a container, Usually made out of metal, Sometimes brass, And in the censer, There are several, Kinds of herbs, Aloe, Mixtures, Myrrh, Different kinds of, Ingredients like that, That are all put together, And then, They're burned, And the smoke, That comes up, From that, Creates, A peculiar, Kind of aroma, Depending on, What the ingredients were, That were set on fire, If you are familiar, With some of the, Early worship,

[14:26] Some of the, Roman Catholic, And some of the, Greek Orthodox, They still use the censer, In their worship services, And it isn't unusual, At all, To see the priest, Walk along, Walk the aisle, And the censer, Is usually on a long chain, And it has, Smoke coming out of it, That is, That has an aroma to it, And as he walks, He swings this censer, Back and forth, So as to spread the aroma, And it just, Fills and permeates, The area, Wherever they are, That's a similar, Kind of situation, To what is happening here, But this censer, Is going to be filled, With incense, And then, Cast, Upon the earth, Thrown down, Upon the earth, Now, There is no, Reason, To require this, To be some kind, Of a literal thing, Because this is symbolic, But what it is, Symbolizing is this, The time, Where God's,

[15:28] Judgment, Has finally, Arrived, And the dumping, Of the incense, On the earth, Is going to be, The beginning, Of another, New series, Of conflagration, And this one, Is going to be, More serious, And more severe, Than the first, The first was bad enough, That included, The four horsemen, Of the apocalypse, All of the deprivation, And everything, That went with it, But, It's going to intensify, Now what I want you, To understand is this, The seal judgments, Are the beginning, And they're bad, They're very difficult, It's going to be, A hard place to live, On this planet, But, These judgments, The trumpet judgments, That are going to follow, The seal judgments, Are going to be worse yet, More intense, And as bad as they are,

[16:29] The bold judgments, That come after them, Are going to be, Even worse, That will be, Great, Tribulation, It is, As if the God of heaven, Continues, To tighten the screws, And, Each time, With a new tightening, And a new revelation, Of disaster, Worldwide, There will be, New converts, Who will see, The folly, Of their ways, And they will repent, And they will, Believe, And they will, Be accepted, They, They too, Will then be, Positioning themselves, For martyrdom, And many of them will, So this is a time, Of conflagration, That is going to, Intensify, And increase, With each, New revelation, And it is just as if, If man will not, Yield under this, Let's see how he handles, This,

[17:30] And then, A new calamity, Is dumped upon the earth, And these things, Are going to be, Worldwide in scope, Bottom line, That is going to be, Repeated a number of times, Is, And they shall know, That there is, A God in heaven, Who is holding them, Accountable, Now what can you say, About these people, Except, Many of them, Are really, Slow, Learners, And this gives you, An insight, And an appreciation, Into the depths, Of the evil, And the stubbornness, And the wickedness, Of man's heart, The time is going to come, And we will see it, Unfolded, When man is actually, Not going to bow, In humble submission, To God, But he's going, Shake his fist, To the God of heaven, And curse him, Now that's going to take, Some moxie, But fallen man, In his unregenerate state,

[18:31] Has the potential, For a lot of moxie, And it's going to be, Demonstrated during this time, So, Here is the beginning, Of the answer, To the prayers, Of these tribulation saints, With the casting, Of this censer down, And I'd like you to just, Start in with me, If you would, With chapter 8, And when he broke, The seventh seal, This is, When Christ breaks, The seventh seal, He was the only one, Worthy to open the seals, Recall, Back in chapter 6, There was silence, In heaven, For about half an hour, Now that is striking, Silence, In heaven, I know it sounds like, An oxymoron, I suppose it is an oxymoron, To say, That the silence, Was deafening,

[19:34] I can only conclude, That this is for, Effect, And, For, Anticipation, And it is as if, All the onlookers, And John, Who is witnessing this, It's as if, Everybody is, Holding their breath, In suspense, In anticipation, And the time, Just goes on, And on, And I don't know, If there are any, Pins to drop in heaven, Or not, But you could have, Heard a pin drop, There's just, Absolute silence, And there's, A lot, Of, Principles here, John, Is looking at, Angels, He's looking at, All of these, Individuals who were there, And nobody, Is uttering, A thing, Just a, Death, Like, Silence, Waiting, For everything,

[20:35] To break loose, And, Let's read on, Seven angels, Who stood before God, And seven trumpets, Were given him, And this goes back, To chapter one, These seven angels, And another angel, Came, Who is not identified, Some feel, That this is the person, Of Christ, And I'm not prepared, To say that it is, Or isn't, But it may be, Sometimes he is referred to, As the angel of the Lord, But at any rate, It is a ranking angel, If it isn't our Lord, Who came, And stood, At the altar, Holding, A golden, Censer, That's the container, For the incense, And much, Incense, Was given to him, That he might, Add it, To the prayers, Of all the saints, Upon the golden altar, Which was before the throne, Now these, Are the same ones, Who are mentioned,

[21:35] Back in, Chapter five, Or chapter six, And verse, Nine through eleven, And, The angel took the censer, Verse five, And he filled it, With the fire of the altar, And threw it to the earth, And there followed, Peals of thunder, And sounds, And flashes of lightning, And an earthquake, These are, Intense things, That both, Appeal to the eye gate, And the ear gate, They are seeing, And they are hearing, And it was probably, Deafening, The flashes of lightning, And the earthquake, And the sounds of thunder, And all the rest of it, And the seven angels, Who had the seven trumpets, Prepared, Themselves, To sound them, Everybody's getting ready, They're bringing these, Ram's horns, Up to their lips,

[22:36] Getting ready to blow, And verse seven says, And the first, Sounded, He blew with this, Blast of the trumpet, And there came, Hail, And fire, Mixed with blood, And they were thrown, To the earth, And a third of the earth, Was burnt up, And a third of the trees, Were burnt up, And all the green grass, Was burnt up, Cannot anticipate, What kind of acreage, This must have involved, Millions of acres, I mean we're talking about, A third of the earth's surface, And these things, These trees, The grass, Everything, Over a third of the earth, And we're not told, What third of the earth it is, No idea, But it is an enormous, Amount of real estate,

[23:37] All over the globe, Now we realize, That three fifths, Of the earth's surface, Is made up of water, The oceans, And only two fifths, Is land, But out of those two fifths, A third of it, Is completely decimated, By fire, And we do not know, Exactly, How that is going, To affect people, Who are living in it, To what degree, They're going to be able, To escape, What kind of shelter, They're going to be taking, How far will you have to go, To get away from that, All of this, Is going to contribute, To a massive, Incalculable, Casualty number, This is, Cataclysmic, Beyond anything, That mankind, Has ever seen before, And I would remind you, Of what Jesus said, About it himself, And this is probably, The most vivid, And complete description, That can be given of it, When he said, In the Olivet Discourse,

[24:40] That it will be a time, Such as the world, Has never experienced before, And never will experience again, This is a one time thing, This is showdown time, For all of humanity, And in keeping, With the principal reasons, For the bringing, Of this tribulation, You'll recall that, Number one, It is to punish man, For his evil, And for his wickedness, On the earth, And from every indication, This continues to intensify, As humanity goes along, Decade after decade, We do not seem, To be getting better, And better, Our technology is improving, But our morals, And our principles, And our values, Are not, And there is a degradation, That just continues, To take man downward, In this downward spiral, In his behavior, In his demeanor, In his attitude toward God, We are looking at a, At a, Absurd,

[25:42] The upsurge of atheism, And consumerism, And secularism, And all of these things, All of which are designed, To push, People further, And further away, From the acknowledgement, Or recognition, That there is a God, And that we are responsible, To him, And it just seems like, Humanity is on a roll, To do this, And Europe, Has been leading the charge, And we have been following, Close behind, So we see this, As it develops in, In law enforcement, We see it, As it develops in politics, We see it, As it develops in the entertainment, And social media, And all the rest, We are not, Improving our lot, One bit, We are disintegrating, Further and further, And the time is coming, When God is going to, Bring down the curtain, And that's exactly, What John is describing here, Some people think, That it is long overdue, But God has never been late, With anything he's ever done, And he's never been early,

[26:44] So we've got this, First sounding here, And the consequences, That come there from, And it is going to be, Cataclysmic, And in verse 8, We read, The second angel, Sounded, And something like, A great mountain, Burning with fire, Was thrown into the sea, So much for the dry land, In verse 7, This involves the sea, And a third of the sea, Became blood, This could be, Referring only to the Mediterranean Sea, I do not know, Or it could be, Other oceans as well, But at any rate, It appears to be the result, Of what might be, A meteorite, Meteor, Or something of that nature, We know, That there are, Places on earth, Where you can go, And visit today, In fact, We saw one,

[27:44] A few years ago, It was called, Meteor crater, In Arizona, And we were able to, Be there on site, And get a feel, For how huge, That thing was, And that could be, Dwarfing by comparison, Of what is to come, We do not know, Exactly what this is going to be, But we do know, The effect that it is going to have, When it hits the water, Apparently, This meteor, This object from outer space, Whatever it is, Is going to have, Very toxic, Toxic components in it, And when, When this thing, Hits the water, It is going to, Contaminate, All marine life, So that it will not, Be able to survive, Or exist, Matter of fact, There is a possibility, That just from the size, And the temperature, Of this thing alone, If you can imagine,

[28:46] This ball of fire, And who knows, Heated to how many, Thousands of degrees, Of temperature Fahrenheit, As it makes its way, Into our atmosphere, Burning and blazing, Containing all of these, Toxic elements, Whatever they might be, By way of chemicals, And makeup of that thing, And the intense heat of it, When it hits the water, It could literally, Boil, A huge amount of that water, For who knows how far, That in and of itself, Would be enough, To kill a great deal, Of marine life, And I think this is exactly, What he was talking about here, And when he says, That a third of the sea, Became blood, It could mean, And scholars are, Divided on this, It could mean, That this, This thing, And the properties, That compose it, Is going to result, In creating, A reddish like hue,

[29:47] Of the water, It's going to colorize, The water, Or it could mean, That it is turned to blood, In the sense that, They're using blood, As a euphemism, In that it means that, Nothing will sustain life, It would not be possible, For life to survive there, It will be turned to blood, And a third of the creatures, Which were in the sea, And had life, Died, And a third of the ships, Were destroyed, How could that be?

[30:20] Well, Think about it, A lot would have to do, With the size of that thing, We don't know, How big this thing, From outer space, Is going to be, But it could be, Of sufficient size, That it would create, Enormous waves, That would set the water, In motion, That no ocean liner, Would be able to withstand, It would just absolutely, Overwhelm it, Or it could be, Again, The temperature thing, Would be of such, Dramatic heat, That that too, Would have a deleterious effect, On any kind of marine life, Or vessels, Or ships, Including military vessels, Or whatever, They just never encountered, Anything like this before, Never had to withstand, Anything like this before, None of these things, Were built, To deal with anything, Like this before, This is all new stuff, A third of the ships, Were destroyed, And the third angel sounded, And a great star,

[31:23] Fell from heaven, Burning like a torch, This may be something, Similar to that of verse 8, Or completely different, But at any rate, It is coming from outer space, Burning like a torch, And it fell, On a third, Of the rivers, And on the springs, Of waters, And the name, Of the star, Is called, Wormwood, And the third, Of the waters, Became, Wormwood, And many men, Died, From the waters, Because, They were made, Bitter, This is not, Potable water, You cannot drink this, You cannot use it, For anything, Some scholars, Are of the opinion, That this is, Demonic activity, And that the name, Of this particular demon, Who is loosed, To do this thing, Is named, Wormwood, And the fourth angel, Sounded, Verse 12, And a third, Of the sun, And a third,

[32:24] Of the moon, And a third, Of the stars, Were smitten, So that a third, Of them, Might be darkened, And the day, Might not shine, For a third of it, And the night, In the same way, This does not require, That these great elements, Are somehow, Going to be turned out, Or that they are going, To be shut off, One third, But, The text seems, To require, That what is taking place, On the earth, Is going to result, In the creation, Of huge amounts, Of material, That will be, In the atmosphere, And if anyone, Has personal experience, Of the Mount St. Helens, Disaster, When it blew, It was absolutely, Incredible, And you could not, If you were, In the right place, It blocked out, Everything, Blocked out,

[33:24] Everything, I remember, Um, My brother-in-law, Living back, In the state of Washington, At the time, Uh, Barbara's brother-in-law, And, Uh, He and his wife, Had been on a hunting trip, And when, They, Were en route, Mount St. Helens, Blue, And all of this, Ash and everything, Came in it, And they, They didn't know, What was going on, They had no idea, And they turned on the radio, And found out, Got the information, And everything, But it was, It completely, Thickened the whole atmosphere, Around them, And he had his, Windshield wipers on, Trying to clear this, Ash off of the windows, And it was a losing proposition, And they got out, Got out of the vehicle, And then they got back, In the vehicle, Because you couldn't breathe, With what was going on, With that ash in the air, Out there, It was just, Terrible, And finally, It got to the place, Of where, Uh, Where enough of it, Had blown over, And they could see, What they were doing, But it was just like, Almost like, Almost like,

[34:26] Night time at, Noonday, And you couldn't see anything, And by the way, That, Is a rather small, Volcano, The blue, Mount St. Helens, Was, Not nearly the size, That some of the others are, And, We've been told by, Geological authorities, That, Mount, Uh, That in Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park, That Yellowstone Lake, And I remember, Seeing that, And driving around, Part of it, And it's one of the most, Gorgeous lakes, That you ever saw, In Yellowstone, And, And the rangers, Were telling us, Giving us the description, Of it, And everything, They said, That this lake, Is actually, The top, Of a volcano, And that, As best as they can, Determine, This thing, Blew its top, Back around the year, 1000, Or 1100, Something like that, From trying to assess,

[35:26] The rocks, And the soil, And everything, That's when they estimated, To have blown, And they said that, If Mount St. Helens, Uh, If, If, Uh, This volcano, At Yellowstone, Would blow, Like Mount St. Helens did, It would put, Atlanta, Georgia, Under a couple of feet, Of ash, And that's a long, Ways off, From Yellowstone, This is the kind, Of thing, That the planet, Is going to be dealing, With during this time, And everybody, Is going to be, Experiencing, These disasters, For the first time, We will not have had, Experience, In dealing with these things, In handling these issues, Communications, Is going to be kaput, So much, Won't be working, Or won't be functional, At all, And panic, Is going to set in, Everywhere, And in the midst of it, People, Are just going to be, Hard pressed, To find something,

[36:27] To eat, And water, That is drinkable, Little wonder, This is called, The great, Tribulation, Tribulation, That's what's coming, Upon this earth, And you know, What's behind the whole thing, The sin, And evil of humanity, That's why all of this, Is coming, That's the first purpose, Of the tribulation, And the second purpose is, That these, Extreme, Events, Are going to be, A wake up call, For huge, Numbers of people, And those, Who will be, Pressing in, To the, Kingdom, With the message, That is being preached, Is going to be, Astronomical, Because in addition, To man's, Experiencing, These things, And realizing, Who they are from, Plus, The efforts, Of the hundred, Forty four thousand, It is going to be, A time of, Unprecedented, Evangelism, The likes of which, The world has never seen,

[37:28] And, Simultaneous to that, It's going to be, A time, Of great, Persecution, Judgment, Conflagration, Turmoil, Confusion, Nothing the world, Has ever seen, Will even come close to this, This is just going to be, Absolutely, Indescribable, And we are told, That except those days, Were shortened, There should be, No, Flesh, Saved, At all, No survivors, At all, That's how intense, It's going to be, The fourth angel, Sounded, In verse 12, And here we have, The sun, Moon, Stars, Blocked out, So that they cannot, Be seen, There's no reason, To believe that anything, Is actually going to happen,

[38:29] To them, That they are going, To be changed, But they are going, To appear, To be, Non-visible, Or changed radically, Because of what's, What we're dealing, With in the atmosphere, And I looked, And I heard, An eagle, Flying in mid-heaven, Saying, With a loud voice, Woe, Woe, Woe, Woe, Woe, To those, Who dwell, On the earth, Because, Of the remaining, Blasts, Of the trumpet, Of the three angels, Who are about the sound, What, What he's saying, In essence is, Bad as this is, Folks, You haven't seen anything yet, And he issues, Three woes, And each of them, Is going to be identified, The second woe, The first woe,

[39:31] Is passed, In verse 12, Of chapter 9, And behold, Two woes, Are still coming, After these things, Woe, Means, Time of calamity, A time of disintegration, A time of deprivation, A time of conflagration, A time, That is, As bad as you can think, That is possibly going to be, Only worse, That's a woe, And these woes, W-O-E, It isn't W-H-O-A, Like you say to a horse, Woe, It isn't that kind of woe, It's a W-O-E, Woe, And as someone, Facetiously said, When God woes you, You've been woed, And that's exactly, What's going to happen here, This is the almighty, Pulling out the stops, On an evil generation, And why this generation?

[40:32] Because, As I have suggested, It is intensifying, And each new generation, That comes along, Becomes more evil, And more entrenched, In anti-God belief, Than was the one before, And this is the one, That breaks, The straw, That breaks the camel's back, It is this generation, Upon whom this tribulation, Is coming, That is going to cause God, To say, That's it, That's enough, And it all begins, To break loose, The fifth trumpet, Chapter nine, Is the first woe, The fifth angel sounded, Got these seven angels, Here is the fifth one, And I saw a star from heaven,

[41:35] Which had fallen to the earth, And the key, Of the bottomless pit, Was given to him, This star, Is an angel, And the angel has, A key, To the bottomless pit, Now, Bear in mind, This is all symbolism, I do not know, At all, Nor is there any reason, To believe, That in actuality, There is going to be, An angel, Who goes somewhere, On the earth, With an actual, Physical key, And unlock something, And lets all of these, That's not what symbolism, Requires, And these angels, Who are going to hold back, The four winds, We do not know, And it is not required, That there is an angel, Up there, Holding back the winds, Of the north, And the east, And the west, And the south, No, No, No, No, No, What John, Is seeing, In symbols, Are the angels, Doing those things, It doesn't require, That the angels, Are going to be visible, That anybody is going, To look, Say, Well there is an angel, What is he doing, Angels are spirit beings,

[42:36] They are empowered, And they are going, To be involved, But it may not be, In such a way, That people will be able, To see them at all, Angels may be involved, In what is going on today, That we cannot see, And witness, But they are spirit beings, And we do not know, Where they are, Or what they are doing, But we do know, According to Hebrews, That angels, Are ministering spirits, Sent forth, To minister to those, Who shall be heirs, Of salvation, We just don't have any idea, What all that includes, But we do know, That during the tribulation period, The time of angelic, Involvement, Is going to intensify, And the time, Of dramatic, Physical, Miracles, Are going to be occurring, As an everyday occurrence, As opposed to, The virtually none, That we see today, All of these things, Are going to be part and parcel, Of this last, Hurrah, For humanity,

[43:37] And it, Is going to be, Something, So, We'll just briefly, Open this for a moment, I want you to look, At the bottomless pit, Some are persuaded, That this bottomless pit, Is an actual, Physical place, Here, In the bowels, Of the earth, I'm not prepared, To dispute that, Nor am I prepared, To confirm it, Because I just don't think, It can be, But, I would say this, If it turns out, To be that way, It would not surprise, Me at all, He opened the bottomless pit, And smoke, Went up, Out of the pit, Like, Here's another simile, Like the smoke, Of a great furnace, And the sun, And the air, Were darkened, By the smoke, Of the pit, And out of the smoke, Came forth, Locusts,

[44:38] Upon the earth, And power, Was given them, As the scorpions, Of the earth, Have power, And they were told, That they should not, Hurt the grass, Of the earth, That is, Any that survives, Nor any green thing, Nor any tree, But only the men, Who do not have, The seal of God, On their foreheads, That's, The hundred, Forty-four thousand, And they were not, Permitted to kill anyone, But to torment, For five months, And their torment, Was like the torment, Of a scorpion, When it stings a man, I've never been stung, By a scorpion, But I've read, I've read accounts, Of those who have, And they say, That it's one of the most, Excruciating things,

[45:38] You can ever undergo, I've had some pretty nasty, Bee stings, With wasps, And hornets, And things like that, Especially if you stir up, A bunch of them, And they all come after you, And you end up with, Stings all over you, It can be very, Very painful, And in some cases, Depending on a person's, Body chemistry, It can even be, Life threatening, But this is going to be, Something of a, Supernatural nature, And I don't understand, About these scorpions, But we're going to, Research this more, And delve into it, And some are of the opinion, That these are, Demonic beings, These demonic beings, Have been incarcerated, In this bottomless pit, For who knows how long, Remember when Jesus, Was here on earth, Performing his miracles, And he came, Upon this individual, Who was possessed, And the, Demon cried out, I know thee, Who thou art, The holy one of God, Art thou come to destroy, Art thou come to torment us,

[46:39] Before the time, What do you mean by that? Have you come to torment us, Before the time? And they begged, Not to be sent, To the pit, Jesus, Jesus, Sent them, Into a herd of swine, And the swine, Went insane, And, Drove themselves, Over the edge of a cliff, And drowned, Now, I don't profess, To know all that is involved there, But I am saying, That there is, Provision, Made, For demonic activity, And if these demons, Are fallen angels, As we suspect they are, They have been incarcerated, Held intact, And this, Apparently, Is the same place, Where Satan, Is going to be, Incarcerated, For a thousand years, He's going to be,

[47:40] Chained, How would you put chains, On a spirit being, What kind of chains, Could hold, We know that chains, Could hold a human being, But these are not human beings, And how would you, Confine them, And how can this be open, With, As it were, A lock, And, And these demons, Pull, Pour forth, And they are referred to, As, Those, Who dwell in, Tartarus, T-A-R-T-A-R-U-S, That's, A completely, Different, Unique place, Not Gehenna, Not hell, Not Hades, This is Tartarus, This is a special, Kind of abode, Where these, Demonic beings, Are incarcerated, How are they, Held there, No idea, What are they, Doing there, I have no idea, But as spirit beings, They have, A completely, Different constitution,

[48:42] And makeup, Than what we have, We cannot identify, With them, You're getting, The picture, I trust, This is going, To be a pretty, Trying time, And, We can, Be grateful, That as believers, In Christ, We're going to be, Removed from this, Not because we're, Better than anybody else, But because, We have been, Redeemed by the, Blood of the lamb, And apparently, Jesus feels, That this is, No kind, Of treatment, To subject his, Bride to, And we are, Going to be removed, But this is, What's going to, Transpire upon the earth, And the two-fold, Thing that will be, Realized on the one hand, Is intense, Suffering, And persecution, And on the other hand, It's going to be, A time of, Intense, Evangelization, And people coming to faith, And many of them, Being martyred subsequently,

[49:42] For having done so, Well, We are almost, Half way through, The revelation, And I can only say, As bad as it has been, Up till now, The worst is yet to come, Isn't that something?

[50:01] Now you know what? I want you to think, In terms of this, Because to me, This is where the real key, And the real justification, For it comes, And I don't know, That we can, That we can absorb this, But I'm going to throw it, Out there anyway, I know some of you, Were going to think, That it isn't that bad, And all of this, Punishment, All of this, Conflagration, That is coming, Upon, Human beings, From the hand, Of the almighty, I can promise you, Is not unjust, And it is not overkill, Because the God, Of heaven, Owes it to his, Own integrity, And his, Own purity, To extract, A perfect, Justice,

[51:02] And that's, What this is, And when you look, At it that way, You have to ask yourself, Is mankind, And his sin, And his evil, Really, That bad?

[51:23] And the answer is, Yes, It's really that bad, And we have difficulty, Entertaining that, Because, We are not, Acquainted with that, Kind of evil, In the circles, That most of us, Travel in, And I'll tell you what, The God of heaven, Is becoming more, And more acquainted with it, And he's becoming, More and more, Incensed about it, And this is what, He is going to do, And, No one, Will be able to say, It's not fair, It's not right, It's not just, Because in his heart of hearts, He will know that he is, That he is, Just that wicked, Just that evil, And that God, Is not out of bounds, In the judgment, That he is bringing, Upon this earth, Many times,

[52:25] When I have opportunity, To preach the gospel, In different venues, Whether it's a funeral, Or another meeting, Or whatever, I always refer to, The gospel, Of Jesus Christ, As containing, A hard part, And an easy part, And the hard part, Of the gospel, Is, For people, To be able, To see, And understand, Something, Of their, Wretchedness, And their, Moral evil, In the face, Of a holy God, Because, Because, Because, We're all, Very willing, Myself included, To cut ourselves, Some slack, We're not that bad, And there are a lot, Of people worse than us, And on, And on, And on we go, You know, And the hard part, Of the gospel, Is coming to grips, With the fact, That our sin, Has separated us, From a holy God, And yes, Our sin, Really is, That bad,

[53:27] I know, We tend to look around, And find somebody else, That's a lot worse, Than we are, But that's beside the point, Sin is sin, And holiness, Is holiness, And the difficulty, That people have, With the gospel, Is first of all, Coming to grips, With their own, Personal need, Their own failing, Their own sinfulness, And once you get over, That hurdle, And are willing, To acknowledge, You know, I really am a sinner, I really am, Just as bad, As everybody else, I really am, A member of this human race, And we're all, We're all, Committed to sin, And once you understand that, And admit that, And agree to that, That's the hard part, Of the gospel, We don't want to do that, Because that damages our ego, We like to think, Well I'm not that bad, That's why I call it, The hard part of the gospel, And once, Once you understand, The hard part of the gospel, And agree to it,

[54:29] Then it's time for the easy part, And the easy part is, You say, Well then, What's the remedy? The remedy, Is Jesus Christ, And you just come to him, And embrace him as your savior, As the one, Who died for every one, Of your ugly sins, And everyone else's, And everyone else's, Once you know, You have the disease, You've crossed the hard part, The easy part, Is coming to Jesus, As the remedy, And, That's what a lot of people, Are going to do, During this tribulation period, Would you pray with me please, Father, We fully understand, That these are difficult things, To contemplate, Really difficult, To preach and teach, Nothing, Nothing, Uplifting about this,

[55:32] Apart from the fact, That even, In the midst of this, Intense persecution, And tribulation, You have provided, A way out, For those who will repent, And embrace, The God of heaven, As their only hope, And we are so grateful, That you've made that provision, And we just, Trust that as, We go through, Our world today, That is, Serene, And calm, Compared to everything, We've been talking about, That you will impress upon us, The need of, Making our time count, Of disseminating this gospel, Of using, Every opportunity, That we have, To be instant, In season, And out of season, To communicate, To men and women, What they really need to know, That there is a savior,

[56:33] Who stands ready, When once we acknowledge, Our sin, And come to him, To receive us, With open arms, And our prayer is, That even in this, Closing moment, If there should be, Someone here today, Who's never really, Taken that step, Never really, Embrace the Lord Jesus, We pray that you, Will weigh heavily, Upon their heart and mind, And give them, No rest, And no peace, Until they, Put themselves, In your hands, And receive from you, The forgiveness, And the salvation, That only you have to give, In the name of our Lord Jesus, We pray, Amen.
