[0:00] In your bulletin for the message this morning, we have labeled it, Unrepentance Justifies God's Wrath. Human evil sets the stage for the wrath of God. His wrath can always be averted when repentance is in place. However, repentance is not realized following the emptying of the bowls of divine judgment in Revelation chapter 16. The conflagration is enormous. Today's session will mark the 35th in the Revelation series. And I just want to remind you that we have already looked at the subject of the justice of God in the chapters that preceded, that is in chapter 15. And we noted there that there is a reaffirmation or a vindication of the judgment God is going to be bringing upon humanity in this last day. And I realize that for those of us who live on a day-by-day basis and we have access to history, some of which goes back even thousands of years, there is a natural tendency to think in terms of, well, the expression that Peter used when he said that there will be those coming in the last days, scoffers, walking after their own lusts, saying something like, all things continue just as they have in the past. Well, largely that is true. That is much of what human history is all about. All things continue, much as it has been since the fathers fell asleep. But there is an end game in sight. This thing called our present world, this present civilization, is going to come to an end. It will not be the end of the world, but it will be the end of the world as we know it.

[2:14] And here in the last book of the Bible, it is summed up as to exactly what this is going to consist of. However, long before John wrote in the Revelation, while exiled on the Isle of Patmos, God's prophets in the Old Testament were busily engaged, writing as the Spirit of God inspired them, regarding the end-time events. And what we are going to be looking at this morning, and Gary will be asking you to read with him, has to do with some of the writings of the prophets that predate the arrival of Jesus in Bethlehem by 700 years. I mean, these were on the job and writing as the Spirit of God inspired them hundreds of years before Jesus was ever born. And they are describing in considerable detail what is found in Revelation 16 and Revelation 19. And we'll be looking at 16 for the balance of the morning. And I don't know that we'll be able to get through the entire chapter, but that is my goal. And I have something on the overhead that we would like to share with you regarding the valley of Jehoshaphat and the Kidron Valley. And the last few verses of Revelation 16 address that. But be advised that this is not the actual coming of Christ. This is just setting the stage for it. And the actual coming will be recorded and treated in some detail when we arrive at

[3:59] Revelation chapter 19. So now if you would take the scripture sheet that has been provided for you this morning, Gary will come and read for us. And the two passages on the left-hand side we will read responsibly, but the third passage on the right-hand side I'll read by myself.

[4:37] Come near ye nations to hear, and hearken ye people. Let the earth hear, and all that is therein, the world and all things that come forth of it.

[4:50] The indignation of the Lord is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their farms. He hath utterly destroyed them. He hath delivered them to the far.

[5:06] Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcasses, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

[5:19] And all the hosts of heaven shall leave it all, and the heavens shall be rolled together at the scroll. And all their hosts shall fall down, and have a leaf called the fall from the high, and have a falling fig on the figs of the tree.

[5:37] For my sword shall be bathed in heaven. Behold, it shall come down upon Edomia, and upon the people of my curse to judgment.

[5:51] The sword of the Lord is filled with blood. It is made packed with happiness, and with the blood of the land and the wood.

[6:02] With the path of the cage of the land, for the Lord hath had the right and the father, and the great slaughter in the land of the sea. And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls.

[6:19] And their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. For it is the day of the Lord in the sea.

[6:36] Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I let the head of all nations against the good of the one, and the city shall be shaken, and the hounds are frightened, and the women are trafficked.

[6:56] And half of the city shall move on to the half of the city, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

[7:14] And his feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Abba, which is before the grace of the mountain east. And the mount of Abba shall please and lift their heart toward the east and toward the well.

[7:29] And there shall be a very great valley, and half of the mountains shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

[7:40] And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal. Yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah.

[7:59] And the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Basra?

[8:12] This that is glorious in his apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength. I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

[8:26] Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the wine fat? I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the people there was none with me.

[8:42] For I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury. And their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.

[8:58] For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. To say that this is cataclysmic is probably an understatement.

[9:15] I am very much aware that none of us can adequately process the content that we have been sharing with you. It just absolutely surpasses anything and everything that humanity has ever experienced in the past.

[9:31] This is, however, on the agenda. And as surely as God is God, this is what is scheduled to transpire. And if the question should be asked, and I'm certain that there are those who would be prone to ask it, what makes you think all these things are really going to happen?

[9:52] I mean, come on now. This is really pretty heavy stuff. How do you know that this is actually going to take place? And as I've told you before, the best evidence that we have for the prophecies that are yet unfulfilled are those prophecies that have already been fulfilled and in considerable detail.

[10:14] God is not mocked, and he does not speak with a forked tongue. God speaks very forthrightly, and his word is to be taken seriously.

[10:24] I realize that there are in the scriptures a number of places where we are not to interpret the passage literally, but figuratively. But by and large, the vast majority of instances, the Spirit of God is quite capable of saying exactly what he means, and he means what he says.

[10:44] And these individuals who were inspired of God to be human penmen simply relayed the information that the Spirit of God communicated to them. In other words, the passages that we just read from Isaiah or from Zechariah, these men didn't think those things up.

[11:02] They weren't especially brilliant men who were able to somehow look into the future and predict it. No, no, no. None of that. None of that. They got their information from the God who calls all things that are not as though they are.

[11:18] And he brings all things into pass in accordance with his own goodwill. And with God, there is no past, present, or future. Everything with him is the present.

[11:29] And when the scriptures say that with God, a year is as a thousand days, and a thousand days is as a year, that simply means that God is a timeless being.

[11:42] He doesn't have to relate to nor deal with hours and days and months and years and so on. Because time is one of God's creations along with space.

[11:55] He does not live in time and he does not live in space. He is separate from those. God is not part of the world he's created. And the world he's created is not part of God.

[12:07] He is separate and distinct from it. He dwells on an entirely different level than all of creation that he has brought into existence. And we need to keep that in mind as we examine the prophetic portions of scripture.

[12:21] And I'm not going to belabor the point, but numerous examples could be given whereby scripture and prophecies have been fulfilled in amazing detail.

[12:33] And not just a handful, but scores of them. Too many to be dismissed as coincidental. So, as regards our study ongoing in the Revelation, we noted that there are three different sets of divine justice that will be coming upon this earth.

[12:54] And the first has to do with the sealed judgments, which are contained in Revelation chapter 6, followed by a brief interlude, and the introduction of 144,000, 12,000 from each of the tribes of Israel, referred to in Revelation chapter 7.

[13:14] The sealed judgments were followed by the seven trumpet judgments, and they are contained in Revelation chapter 8 through verse 11.

[13:27] The bowl judgments begin Revelation chapter 16, and they go through the end of the chapter, and we will likely see that today.

[13:38] So, if you will turn to Revelation 16, if you are not already there, be advised that these, sometimes called vials, V-I-A-L-S, but probably more correctly translated bowls.

[13:55] Now, I want you to get the picture. The angels, these seven angels who are engaged, and will be employed throughout the Revelation, each of them is given a bowl.

[14:09] And we do not know exactly how large that bowl is, but I suspect that it is of some consequence, probably larger than a cereal bowl. But anyway, it is a symbol.

[14:19] The bowl is a symbol. And there isn't anything magical about the angel pouring out this bowl, but it is a symbol that is given to John that is designed to illustrate the idea that God's wrath, God's anger, is going to be poured out on humanity.

[14:43] And the bowl typifies that. It is just taking the bowl and tipping it. And the contents of the bowl come forth. That is an indication of the wrath and the indignation of God that is going to be poured out upon this humanity, and it is symbolized with the bowl.

[15:02] So John is able to get the picture. Now, I do not know that there is any reason at all to believe that when this time actually comes, there's going to be an angel in heaven with a bowl.

[15:15] That's beside the point. That goes further with the symbol than you need go. It is simply saying that that bowl and its contents represents the wrath and indignation of God that is going to be poured out on humanity.

[15:31] And it won't be in a bowl, per se. And it won't need to be. But the bowl explains the idea. And I think that we are able to comprehend it that way. The bowl judgments will be the most severe yet.

[15:46] And when concluded, the wrath of God is spent. So, with all of these various judgments that are coming upon the earth, this represents the most intense, the most difficult, the most stressful, the most cataclysmic of all that have been brought to this point.

[16:12] And the reason is because these represent the wrath that God himself is able to conjure.

[16:25] And it's going to be really, really bad. The portion that we read at the outset about repentance and about the justice of God being well-deserved for those who are unrepentant, maybe I need to preface this time of judgment with this comment or this understanding.

[16:49] And that is this. And to me, this is an amazing thing. I've never, never quite gotten over this. But it is this concept nothing moves the will, the mind, the heart of God like human repentance.

[17:14] God loves it when men repent. And the reason he does is because all they are doing is coming from a position of error into a position of truth.

[17:29] And God is the God of all truth. This subject, repentance, which means change your mind. And the reason you change your mind is because the evidence you have been provided, the information you have been given, requires you to change your mind.

[17:49] Because it shows you where you've been wrong. And by the way, the only thing anybody ever repents of is being wrong. About anything. It doesn't make any difference what it is.

[18:01] And it doesn't even have to be anything of any religious significance. All it means is change your mind. And the reason you change your mind is because you've been given information that you process and it causes you to say, wow, I didn't know that.

[18:18] I always thought thus and so and thus and so. But now, I know that's not true. I was wrong. I need to change my mind about that.

[18:30] That's all repentance is. It doesn't even necessarily involve tears. It doesn't involve making promises. It just involves changing your mind. The very word metanoia means through the mind.

[18:43] Christianity is a thinking faith. And God gives us data. He gives us information. And we are able to process that information. We are able to think about it, cogitate on it, meditate on it.

[18:56] And when we do, when we process that information, we reach a conclusion. And that conclusion is designed to lead you to action.

[19:14] You act on what you conclude. This is why, folks, and I hate to sound like a broken record, but I'm going to say, this is why information is so terribly vital.

[19:26] You can't process information or data that you don't receive. Your source of information is so critical. Taking in information gives you material to process and to reach a conclusion to make a decision on the basis of that.

[19:43] And it can be life-changing. And that's exactly what happens at salvation. When someone hears the gospel, somebody who's been thinking for their whole life, you know, well, I've always tried to be a good guy and God will take it easy on me and God grades on the curve and blah, blah, blah.

[19:58] And then they hear the gospel about salvation through Jesus Christ. They say, well, I've never heard that before. I never knew that before. Well, what are you going to do about it? You've been given information.

[20:08] What are you going to do about it? Well, you can dismiss it and say, I don't believe it. Or you can say, that makes a lot of sense. I never heard that before. I never connected that before.

[20:19] I never understood that before. But now I do. Christ died for my sin? Really? 2,000 years ago, he paid for my ticket to heaven so that I could be acceptable to God?

[20:34] I never knew that before. So, whatever it was you believed before, you change your mind. You say, now I know I was wrong. I was wrong.

[20:45] I'm going to believe this new information that I have received, how that Christ died for my sins. I'm going to put my faith and my trust in Jesus Christ.

[20:57] That's repentance. That's changing your mind. And then, with the conclusion you reach, you act upon it. And you act upon it with your will.

[21:10] So, the end game for information is always something to respond to. If you cannot understand the message that is given, you cannot provide an intelligent response.

[21:24] And this, again, is why understanding the Bible and interpreting the Bible is so important. So, all of these things are coming together. And I make a big deal of this repentance thing because this is something that man is repeatedly going to refuse to do.

[21:46] Never mind that God is tightening the screws. Never mind that the sealed judgments were terrible. That's not going to be enough to make man change his mind and repent.

[22:00] Never mind that the trumpet judgments were worse. That's not going to be enough for some to change their mind and repent. And, the text is going to tell us here in chapter 16 that when the bowl judgments are finished, there will still be people who will be unrepentant.

[22:19] They will dig their heels in. These are people who have already received the mark of the peace. They're sold to him. They're his property. And, they will not be interested in repenting.

[22:32] All they will want to do is dethrone the God of heaven. And, the Antichrist is telling them, we can do this. With your help, we can do this. And, they're going to buy it. But, of course, we know that is not going to be the end.

[22:45] So, all that remains here is the final campaign of Armageddon that will be climaxed by the second coming of Christ in chapter 19. And, sandwiched between the bowl judgments and the second coming will also be the destruction of Babylon.

[23:01] And, I need to talk about that for just a moment, although we'll give it more detail in the next couple of sessions. Babylon is the ancient source of human rebellion.

[23:13] It is located in southern Iraq today, and it had actually undergone some rebuilding under Saddam Hussein.

[23:25] and I've got some rather interesting photos to show you of things that have already been done in ancient Babylon. This was the actual, this was the seedbed of human rebellion and evil.

[23:42] This is where the Tower of Babel was located, and those who were going to build this tower to make a name for themselves were doing so in defiance of God. They were thumbing their nose at the Most High, and eventually, of course, it was destroyed, and Babylon has been laid waste for centuries.

[24:03] But the text makes it quite clear, in 17 and 18 of Revelation, that Babylon is going to rise out of the ashes.

[24:17] It is going to become the premier position in the entire world, economically and politically. I know it's difficult to believe that now when you look at southern Iraq, but the time is coming when, listen, I've been following what some of the so-called experts say, and one of the things that I have noted that they are picking up on more and more, and that is this, the political, the commercial engines that drive human society are unmistakably moving more and more toward the Mideast.

[25:08] The Mideast. Now, we tend to think of the Mideast as just ancient territory where some people still live in tents and drive camels and donkeys and things, but the scriptures make it very clear in these two chapters upcoming that ancient Babylon is going to be resurrected and it is going to become the world headquarters of the Antichrist and that all governments will funnel into Babylon.

[25:35] It will be the virtual new center of the world. It will not be New York City. It won't be Washington. It won't be London or Moscow. It's going to be Babylon.

[25:47] And that is striking when you consider that's where all this stuff began and that's where it's going to end. Because Babylon, once it is rebuilt with all of its finery, all of its superstructure, all of its government offices, all of its headquarters, all of everything, it's all going to be dramatically destroyed in virtually one hour.

[26:11] it will come to naught. And the Antichrist will not even be there. He will not even know it until he receives word that his kingdom is demolished.

[26:22] He will be in Jerusalem where he will reveal himself in the middle of that 70th week. And when he gets word, that's when the pressure is going to be applied to Israel.

[26:35] That's when the covenant is broken. That's when the Jew will flee into the southernmost part, which is ancient Edom, Basra, and Petra in that area. And God is supernaturally going to provide these Jewish people who will be the remnant that will be saved with miraculous food, water, and whatever else they need.

[26:58] It's going to be a repeat of God's provision for the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt. It's going to be absolutely stunning. And these people will comprise probably less than one-third of the living Jewish population at that time, because two-thirds, two-thirds of the Jewish people worldwide are going to be destroyed.

[27:25] That will be many more than what died in the Holocaust. That is coming during the 70th week of Daniel. And the remnant that will remain will be supernaturally protected and provided for, and they will be there in Petra, and we will see how that develops later on.

[27:42] So, here as we engage the text, if you would look please at Revelation 16, I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, these are the same seven that have been employed all through the Revelation, go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God, into the earth.

[28:04] And the first angel went, poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a loathsome and malignant sore on the men who had the mark of the beast and who worshipped his image.

[28:21] There is no indication that those who are believers, who hold out and will not receive the mark of the beast, that this will affect them. This is only upon those who have the mark.

[28:34] And the second angel, verse 3, poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man, and every living thing in the sea died.

[28:49] Now, I don't know that much about these things, but I do read a little, and I remember having read on a number of occasions visions, that the amount of marine life, the amount of marine life of every kind of species that is found in the ocean greatly outweighs all the rest of biological life on the earth.

[29:13] It is the oceans that contain the preponderance of biological life, not on land, but in the oceans, and it numbers in the zillions, and they're all going to die.

[29:29] They're all going to die. Do you have any idea what the stench will be like with all of this marine life dead?

[29:41] The seas will not sustain life. Everything living is going to die. The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of waters, and they became blood.

[29:59] We have some familiarity with what is commonly referred to as the red tide, which I understand can be very dangerous, and it is the reddish hue that is given to the water by organisms and algae and different things combined like that, and it makes it look like blood.

[30:12] I don't know if that's what this is going to be, or if this that is turned to blood is simply going to be the blood of all of these creatures having died, will color the water. But at any rate, it's going to be indescribable.

[30:27] And I heard the angel of the waters saying, Righteous art thou, who art and who was, O holy one, because thou didst judge these things.

[30:39] And I would refer you again to chapter 15 that we just concluded about God's righteousness being affirmed, God. And I think that it is only fitting that I warn you, advise you, in reading these things about these utterly unspeakably horrible things coming upon humanity.

[31:02] There is a natural tendency within us, because we are human, to say, oh, those poor, poor people, how could God possibly do that to these human beings?

[31:20] You need to be advised, God is completely within his rights. This is nothing more than divine justice being administered.

[31:34] Now, something about within the humanity of all of us, wants to identify somewhat with these people and feel some degree of sympathy, of regret, of sorrow for them because of what they're going to be subjected to.

[31:50] And I suppose just the milk of human kindness makes you want to do that. But at the same time, you need to be advised that absolute perfect justice is being served.

[32:03] God has nothing to apologize for. God isn't being too heavy-handed. This is not overkill. God is not getting carried away with his vengeance because justice means you get exactly what you deserve.

[32:21] Not one bit more, not one bit less. This will be perfect justice. No one will be able to say, it's not fair! It will be eminently fair.

[32:32] And everyone on the receiving end of this will know they are being dealt with. Absolute justice. This is their just desserts.

[32:44] And that is reaffirmed in verse 7. Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

[32:55] And the fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire. Now, this is admittedly somewhat difficult to present in any kind of a comprehensive package because there are so many things that are happening in sequential order as you go through the book.

[33:22] Chronologically, they follow on the heels of one another, and yet there are certain other things that will transpire all the way through the book and are taking place on a daily basis.

[33:35] So, we've got the introduction of new things, but we've also got some old things that have been continuing right along. And one of them will be the ministry of the 144,000.

[33:47] They're going to be actively engaged from the time they are introduced in chapter 7 all the way through. Chapter after chapter, their efforts are going to be expended on behalf of mankind, and they will be preaching the gospel, and they will be evangelizing, reaching a number of people.

[34:06] And they themselves are indestructible because they have the seal of God on them. Otherwise, they would be victims of the Antichrist, but they will not be subject to death. So, these things need to be kept in mind, and part of it has to do with dealing with previous issues being compounded with new conflagrations and issues that are being added to it.

[34:31] It is as if the world is going to be unable to recover from this, dealing with this, while this is introduced. And then they've got more to contend with, and as time moves on, then other things are added.

[34:45] So, it is a catastrophe up on top of catastrophes that they are dealing with. I just cannot imagine, I just cannot imagine what this is going to be like.

[34:57] You've got all of this marine life killed. You've got all of these people with loathsome and malignant sores, or ulcers, breaking out all over their body.

[35:08] Job contended with something like that. When you read the book of Job, he had these sores all over his body, and all he could do was sit on a pile of ashes and moan and groan as he took broken pieces of pottery and scraped his sores with them to try and get some relief.

[35:26] You just cannot fathom this kind of thing. And do you know, no one, no one who has the mark of the beast will say or will even want to say, okay, okay, I get it.

[35:43] That's enough. I repent. I'm sorry. I, no, that will not be forthcoming. And I suspect that one reason why we find these so devoid of repentance, and I don't know what else to attribute this to, but it appears to me that when one voluntarily receives this mark of the beast, whatever it is that identifies him and classifies him as belonging to the Antichrist, once one receives that, it appears that they move into some kind of a locked-in position from which they cannot will themselves to leave it.

[36:35] No one is going to be able to say, I don't want this mark of the beast. I want it taken off, and I want to read, no, there won't be any of that. I don't know how it is going to affect the mentality of the individual.

[36:50] I don't understand that. All I know is those who receive the mark of the beast are finished. There will be no repentance forthcoming from them.

[37:03] It would almost appear that they are not even capable of rendering repentance. It seems to me like it must be a kind of hardening of the heart, such as Pharaoh exhibited, and it's going to be repeated here.

[37:20] Here, the fourth angel in verse eight, pours out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire, and men were scorched with fierce heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give him glory, or credit, or acknowledgement.

[37:54] And the fifth angel poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast. This is his very seat of power. And his kingdom, that will be Babylon, became dark because of pain.

[38:14] And they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and they did not repent of their deeds.

[38:27] And the sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river. We do not know how much time is going to lapse between these bowls. We don't know whether it's days, weeks, or months.

[38:41] We are just given the order in which they are going to be poured out. Poured out his bowl upon the great river, the Euphrates.

[38:54] Mideast, Euphrates is the second most significant river in the whole geographical area, second only to the Nile. This is a very strategic, very important river, and it goes all the way back to the book of Genesis.

[39:16] So, its waters was dried up. What's going to dry it up? Well, probably the main thing that will contribute to it drying up is verse 8, and the angel pouring out his bowl upon the earth, and it is given to scorch men with fire.

[39:37] can you imagine what it's going to do to the rivers, the lakes, and the streams? It's going to involve enormous amounts of evaporation, and you're going to have oceans with all of this marine life in it dead, and the moisture being drawn up because of the intense heat from the sun, and all over the earth, all over the globe, the humidity factor is going to be unbearable because the whole atmosphere is going to be filled with humidity with the sun drawing all of this up.

[40:15] And in addition, this, by the way, will be what will contribute to the enormous hailstones that are coming later because that will be involved with the atmosphere, the energy, the evaporation process, and all that is involved.

[40:29] I have some information from Dr. Henry Morris I'll be sharing with you later regarding that. So the river Euphrates is going to be dried up that the way might be prepared for the kings from the east.

[40:43] And these kings from the east will be from the mid-east east. I do not believe this is going to involve China or Japan or anything like that. This is going to be confined pretty much to the mid-east, and they will be east.

[40:57] You recall as far back as scriptures talked about wise men coming from the east. Well, the east to Jerusalem, of course, was Babylon. That's where the wise men were, from the plains of Shinar.

[41:10] And that's where Daniel and his company was taking captivity after the fall of the nation of Judah. the kings of the east are going to make their entry.

[41:28] And by the way, they will be coming. These kings of the east and their hordes and their armies with them will be coming to Israel, and they will gather there on the plains of Estralin in the valley of Megiddo.

[41:41] And then we read in verse 13, And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and the dragon has earlier been identified as Satan himself, and out of the mouth of the beast, that is the Antichrist, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, that is the religious prophet, this is the false trinity that is a counterfeit to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in that Satan is the dragon, and the beast is the Antichrist, the counterpart of Christ the Son, the false prophet is the counterpart of the Spirit of God, three unclean spirits like frogs.

[42:22] Now he doesn't say they are frogs, he says they're like frogs, that's what it looks like to him. Four, they are spirits of demons. Now I've referred time and again as we've engaged the revelation how that this is going to be an expression of the supernatural in the likes that we have never seen it in all of humanity.

[42:48] And it is even going to surpass that of the supernatural during the time of Christ when he performed miracles because this is going to be standard operating procedure. It is going to supersede all of the Old Testament miracles by Elijah, by Moses, etc., the children of us.

[43:04] This is going to be a time of one supernatural event after another. Angelic beings are going to be involved like they have never been involved. demonic beings are going to be involved like they have never been involved.

[43:18] And people are going to be confronted by both of these entities in a way that mankind never has in all of human history. This is going to become the new norm.

[43:29] And it's going to last for seven years. This is the planet's last hurrah. This is the wrap-up.

[43:39] This is the end. This is where everything is going. This is where it's going to end. Verse 14, they are spirits of demons performing signs which go out to the kings of the whole world.

[43:56] These aren't necessarily kings. They are just heads of state. They may be presidents or prime ministers or kings or whatever, but they are in positions of power and authority. And the text says, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God the Almighty.

[44:19] Behold, I am coming like a thief that is unexpected. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his garments, lest he walk about naked and men see his shame.

[44:33] I don't have any idea what that's about. I'll just leave it there. And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har Megiddon.

[44:48] And the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air. And the loud voice came out of the temple, this is the voice of God himself, from the throne, saying, It is done!

[45:04] that's it. That's the end. No more judgments, no more plagues, no more devastation, other than what they already have to deal with.

[45:18] But with the pouring out of the seventh bowl, that ends the wrath of God on humanity. And God steps back. And there's no more judgments like that coming.

[45:32] there is but one thing that remains. And that is nations of the world will congregate together for the final showdown with the one who has been responsible for bringing all of this carnage upon the earth.

[45:54] And they are going to teach him a lesson. Famous last words. we know who's going to do the teaching and who will be the recipient.

[46:09] And in heaven there is John says flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and there was a great earthquake.

[46:21] now folks this is going to be the earthquake to end all earthquakes. This is going to be an earthquake that is going to be felt over the entire globe.

[46:35] This is going to result in a devastation that all of the earthquakes in the past put together will not have equaled. This will be gigantic.

[46:47] This will be earth wide. This will involve the whole planet. And I shudder to say what is going to happen. This is another issue and I don't want to get into it.

[47:00] Well I will just touch on it a little bit. There's a great deal of concern now about the global warming and the earth warming. When these things take place and this kind of devastation is brought upon the earth, one of the principal things that's going to be realized is an intense increase in the heat factor.

[47:25] It may result in a complete melting of the Arctic ice shelf. I mean the whole thing. Which would raise the levels of the oceans all over the world to a height that would absolutely inundate New York City and London and Paris and Moscow and virtually everywhere.

[47:51] I mean capitals of the world containing millions of people will be underwater. Several feet of water. And the quest will be to find higher land.

[48:03] And of course many will be able to do that. But virtually all of these things in which we have placed so much money and wealth and time and effort and everything, they're all going to be underwater.

[48:15] water. And I don't mean six inches of water. I mean a lot of water. It won't even be inhabitable. The devastation, destruction, we cannot imagine.

[48:27] And this is one of the things that will result in Babylon being the success that it will be. Because so much of everything else is going to be destroyed.

[48:40] And I think, yes, that includes much of the good old USA, particularly along all of the coastlines. So, this earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty.

[49:05] And the great city, this is Jerusalem, was split into three parts. and the cities of the nations fell.

[49:21] And Babylon the great was remembered before God to give her the cup of the wine of his fierce wrath.

[49:35] And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And huge hail stones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men, and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was extremely severe.

[50:06] this is going to be generated by this enormous heat, and I had explained to me one time what it is that produces hail, and it simply has to do with falling rain that comes down through the atmosphere, and it hits a cold front, and the water turns into ice, and then it comes down and sprinkles the earth, and we sometimes talk about hailstones as big as dimes, and some have talked about hailstones like golf balls, and some have talked about hailstones like soft balls.

[50:52] Well, these are going to be enormous, because as the liquid comes down and freezes and gets down closer and closer to the earth, the enormous heat buildup that has been taking place all over the surface of the earth, is going to be, that temperature is going to be rising because the heat factor and the waves go up, and when the cold and the hailstone comes down, it comes down just so far as weight will carry it, and then the enormous heat coming up from the earth comes under that and propels it back up again, and when it is up there, it gathers more condensation until its weight gives way in the atmosphere and it starts back down again, and when it gets down closer to the earth, the heat of the earth sends it back up again, and when it goes back up again, it collects more layers of moisture until its weight is no longer sustained in the atmosphere, and it comes back down again, so we've got a cycling process going where additional layers are added to these hailstones, and they are going to be absolutely enormous, we just cannot imagine anything like this, and it is all utterly, totally completely justified, nobody will be able to say, hey, the earth didn't have this coming, yes they did, yes they did, and one wonders if it will not be a result of the intensifying of immorality, licentiousness, sin, that is abounding on every hand and every continent, whether these things are going to increase, that will end up justifying that,

[52:52] I don't know, that may be part of the mix, it does seem like as civilization and as mankind goes on and on, he finds more and more ways to defy God, he finds more and more ways to satisfy himself and to completely disregard what for maybe centuries has been considered normal and useful and helpful, and all of that is going to be replaced with perversity and evil the likes of which we've never seen, and that may very well be where we're going right now, given what's taking place in the world.

[53:35] Run something by you very quickly and then I'll dismiss you, and if you have questions or comments, and I'm sure you probably do, feel free to write them out, drop them in the offering box on your way out, and I'll give them the life.

[53:48] My attention, this is what you have a picture of that's been provided you, and this is just a very loose drawing.

[54:02] Here is Jerusalem right here, and this is the Sea of Galilee, this is the Dead Sea, this is the Jordan River, here is Jerusalem, here is the Mount of Olives, and this that we have marked off for you in your shaded area, this is the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and it extends well into a hundred miles, goes all the way from Basra, or Petra in the south, and by the way, this is the only area that will not be affected by darkness all over the entire earth.

[54:42] It will only be right here, that daylight will exist. All the rest of the planet is going to be shrouded in extreme darkness when these things take place, and this will be modern day Jordan and the ancient area of Ijumia, and Jordan, and clear down here to Basra and Petra, that is the area where the remnant of Israel will be provided for miraculously by God during that time that's spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24, about when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet and flee to the mountains, this is where they will be fleeing, they will be coming out of Jerusalem and fleeing down here, and it is this remnant that will be, that will comprise Israel, that will be the fulfillment of it, so all

[55:43] Israel will be saved, and it will be the believing remnant here, these will be they who in Isaiah, or in Zechariah 12 and verse 10, will look upon him whom they pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only son, these will be believing Jews who will come to faith during that time, and I suspect that the 144,000 will be there among them as well.

[56:04] Here are the different stages, the gathering of the armies of the Antichrist, and that will take place here, in the plain of Ezraelin. That will not be the site of the battle.

[56:16] Armageddon, the battle of Armageddon will not be fought in Armageddon, it will be fought here in this valley of Jehoshaphat, but Armageddon will be the staging area. This is where the troops will mass, having crossed the Euphrates River, and the troops will mass here, numbering to millions from several different nations, and they will head south, and Christ will be here, and he will head north, and they will meet here, in front of Jerusalem, in the Kidron Valley.

[56:43] The staging area is sometimes confused as the battle site, but it isn't. Like I said, it's a staging area. Well, for instance, in World War II, the battle for the invasion took place in France, and Luxembourg, and other countries, when the troops moved through.

[57:10] But the staging area for the whole invasion, the staging area was Great Britain. Everything was taken care of in Great Britain, and then the troops went across the English Channel to the battle site, and that's the way it's going to be here.

[57:25] This will be a massive staging area. there will be millions, tens, twenties, thirty, who knows how many millions of armies from all over the world, and the conflagration is going to take place right here.

[57:42] And those seated on the walls of Jerusalem will have a front row seat. Here is the Mount of Olives, and this will be surfacing again in chapter 19, when we actually see Christ return.

[57:59] And I want you to know, and I could not be more serious about this, if I tried, you were going to be there, and I'm going to be there.

[58:11] And we'll see next week where we are coming from, and these are going to be believers, and they are going to come with Christ. I do not know to what extent we are going to witness this.

[58:24] I do know we will not be engaged in the battle. But I do think we are going to be witnesses thereof. And I know I am talking about something that is absolutely mind blowing.

[58:36] I'm very much aware of that. But this is what is coming. Thus saith the Lord. If you'll stand, we'll be dismissed. Yes?

[58:47] Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Well, I just I guess I don't need a comment to that that's pretty much okay thank you I appreciate that would you stand please seeing our father that these things are coming upon the earth what manner of men and women we ought to be we recognize that now is the time of opportunity that we have and we don't know how long it's going to last but we need to be serious about it we need to take advantage of it we need to make ourselves available and disposable to you as individuals and as a church for anything and everything that we might be able to do to reach men and women boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ because these things are truly coming upon the earth we don't know whether they'll be here in 5 years 20 years 50 years we don't know when they're coming but as surely as God is God they are on the way and we need to make the most of the time that we have thank you for the truth that you've been pleased to reveal we look forward to more and we ask that we may be able to able to arrive at the proper mindset regarding all of these things so that we can respond correctly in Christ's name

[60:44] Amen Amen . .

[61:07] .
